PROJECT: Alabaster Light Sequence Staircase Installation

PROJECT BACKGROUND
This project was designed for a modern loft space, encompassing a corridor and staircase area with a strong vertical orientation. The designer aimed to create a cohesive lighting feature that could visually connect different levels while enhancing the overall spatial experience.
Beyond functionality, the client was seeking a statement piece that could serve as a focal point within the space. The fixture needed to align with a modern aesthetic while introducing a sense of softness, refinement, and material richness through its lighting effect.
To meet these goals, we selected the Alabaster Global Staircase Chandelier and refined its suspension and arrangement to suit the proportions and flow of the space.
A Harmonious Composition of Material and Light
The chandelier features a series of alabaster spheres arranged in a vertical sequence, creating a rhythmic and balanced visual composition. Each stone element reveals natural veining, softly illuminated to produce a warm and diffused glow.
Rather than harsh direct lighting, the fixture emphasizes a gentle dispersion of light, allowing it to flow naturally throughout the space and create a calm, inviting atmosphere.
WHY THIS FIXTURE WORKS IN THIS SPACE
Strong Spatial Continuity
The vertical arrangement naturally links different levels of the loft, creating a unified visual language across the corridor and staircase.

FROM DESIGN TO INSTALLATION
Design Phase
We studied the loft’s vertical structure and optimized the chandelier’s layout to ensure visual balance from multiple viewing angles.
Production Phase
Carefully selected alabaster was used to ensure consistency in translucency and tone, paired with precision-crafted metal components for durability.
Installation
With the adjustable suspension system, the fixture was installed to create a smooth vertical transition across the staircase and corridor space.
THE RESULT
The completed installation serves as both a functional light source and a sculptural centerpiece. It visually connects different levels while enhancing the atmosphere with soft, diffused illumination.
During the day, the alabaster reveals its natural texture and depth. At night, it emits a warm, even glow that brings a sense of calm and elegance to the entire space.
