A Cascading Glass Statement for a Modern Living Space

Project Overview;

PROJECT: Tidal Glass Staircase Installation
CLIENT: Interior Designer
DATE: January 2026

Featured Fixtures:
Tidal Stair Chandelier

PROJECT BACKGROUND

This project was commissioned by an interior designer working on a modern residential home with a dramatic double-height living space. The goal was to create a statement lighting piece that could visually connect the upper and lower levels while enhancing the openness of the architecture.

The designer was looking for a chandelier that would feel sculptural yet airy—something that could fill the vertical space without overwhelming it. The fixture needed to introduce movement, reflect light beautifully, and complement the clean, modern interior palette.

To achieve this, we customized our Tidal Stair Chandelier, adjusting the overall scale, glass element count, and finish to perfectly suit the proportions and tone of the space.

A Flowing Sculpture Suspended in Light

Inspired by the movement of ocean waves, the chandelier cascades organically from the upper ceiling down into the living area below. The composition of layered glass elements creates a sense of fluid motion, almost like a suspended current of light flowing through the space.

From every angle, the fixture offers a different visual experience—light catching on the glass surfaces, creating subtle reflections and a dynamic interplay between transparency and form.

WHY THIS FIXTURE WORKS IN THIS SPACE

Architectural Integration
The vertical design responds perfectly to the double-height ceiling, drawing the eye upward while seamlessly connecting both levels of the home.

Visual Lightness
Despite its scale, the use of glass keeps the chandelier feeling open and breathable, maintaining the clean and uncluttered look of the modern interior.

Atmospheric Lighting
The layered glass elements diffuse light softly, creating a warm, ambient glow that enhances the overall mood of the living space without harsh glare.

CUSTOM FEATURES

  • Tailored Dimensions to fit the full height of the two-story living area

  • Custom Glass Quantity to achieve the ideal density and visual balance

  • Adjusted Color Finish to align with the interior palette

  • Hand-Arranged Glass Elements for a natural, flowing composition

  • Optimized Suspension Structure for stability and seamless installation

FROM DESIGN TO INSTALLATION

Concept & Design
We collaborated closely with the designer to understand the spatial requirements and visual intent, refining the chandelier’s scale and configuration.

Customization & Production
Each glass element was carefully produced and arranged according to the custom design, ensuring consistency in tone, clarity, and quality.

Installation
The installation required precise planning due to the height and cascading structure. The final result achieved a perfectly balanced vertical flow from ceiling to living area.

THE RESULT

The finished chandelier transforms the living room into a refined and immersive environment. It acts as both a lighting source and a sculptural centerpiece—anchoring the space while enhancing its openness and vertical drama.

By day, it reflects natural light with a soft shimmer. By night, it creates a warm and inviting glow, elevating the atmosphere of the entire home.
